Adopt a Tabby (short coat)

Tabby (short coat) Cat

Peanut the Cat needs a home

Sweet Tabby Girl

Peanut is a sweet, young tabby with a cute smile…. She wants to love and be loved by you, and will sometimes surprise us with her charming ways when strangers come into the Cat Adoption Room....she will shyly, but sweetly, allow these strangers to pet her.  And she will love them back!  She may always be a tab skittish, but then, we've seen her blossom so much since she came to us as a "feralish" kitten, she may eventually want to be her family's official "greeter at the door".  Whenever I come in the door she gives me "happy tails".....the quivery way to say she is glad to see me.  She is 3 years old and has spent her entire life now in our adoption room.  She wants her own home. All cats have been spayed or neutered, tested negative for FeLV/FIV and current on age appropriate vaccinations. For more information about adopting this pet, please contact our Adoption Coordinator, Alida at 865-617-3975 or email: [email protected] (Voice contact is preferred). Cats, like all mammals, engage in play as youngsters and continue to do so even after they have grown up. Play is a complex learning activity that helps kittens develop social relationships and helps them hone their physical and mental skills. But it is also fun, which is why adult cat continue to do it. You can spend many enjoyable hours just watching with amusement as your cat plays. You may find her chasing imaginary playmates in her own world of make-believe. Try giving her a paper sack or a box with holes cut into it so that she can invent games for herself. But interactive play is best. How you and your cats play together is only limited by your imagination. Cats do not require expensive toys. The best toys are regular items such as ping pong balls (6/$1.50 at Wal-Mart), soda bottle caps, straws, and milk bottle caps.
